Here you will find the MCP upgrading process described for players that already has the MCP Player software running. You will find below the upgrading instruccions for all the MCP Player versions that have been published.
The first step for a computer upgrading is to uninstall the previous MCP Player version.
Note: Before uninstalling the MCP Player make sure the application isn't running.
Note: If you uninstall the MCP Player it will show you the version ID that was installed on your computer.
To uninstall MCP Player, you must go to "Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs" and search the MCP Player entry, which will be followed by the version identifier.
Once you have uninstalled the previous version, follow your version upgrade instructions.
Upgrades from 2.0.X version
If you are going to upgrade a player that was running the 2.0.X version you should follow these instructions:
- Download the latest full (not tiny) MCP Player version available on the Support page on this site.
- Delete the c:\etc folder
- Install MCP Player checking the following options:
Upgrades from 1.X.X or older version
If you are going to upgrade a player that was running the 1.X.X or older version you should follow these instructions:
- Download the latest full (not tiny) MCP Player version available on the Support page on this site.
- Delete the c:\etc and the c:\var folder
- Install MCP Player checking all the options.
