MCP has a granular User Management System.
This feature allows MCP Platform System Administrators to configure virtually any requirement related to the User access to the system.
The MCP User Management System is based on:
- Privileges. Establish a user's ability to perform specific actions such as adding or removing Players, Media, a workspace, etc...
- Roles. They are groups of privileges to facilitate their grouping and assignment.
- Permissions. Establishing the ability of a user to access a particular asset and define their level of access (read or write).
- Users. They are individuals who can access a MCP workspace. Users can associate a name and a password.
- User Groups. They are groups of users that facilitate the association of privileges, roles and permissions.
This structure allows Users to create Groups and assign Roles for allowing access only to some sections of the CMS like Media Management, Networks, Players, RSS feeds, etc...
The MCP Management System allows Users to assign item level permissions to define which users can access it.
