MCP supports metadata (also called tags, labels, dynamic properties, etc.), which is one of the most important features of the MCP platform. The metadata can deal with large amounts of data easily, facilitating their organization and location, thanks to their previous custom categorization.
The metadata-based organization is much more optimal organizational alternative compared to classic folders, especially when the quantity of data to handle is very large.
MCP allows for metadata to categorize the Media, the Baskets, the Channels, the Players and RSS feeds.
The categorization of MCP options include:
- Dynamic Properties: The dynamic properties allow the Network Administrator to create pre-established categories for each type of element (Media, Baskets, Channels, Players and RSS feeds) of a MCP workspace.
These categories, which may be optional or mandatory, allow users to categorize each of the elements in a unique way.
A practical example of this method of classification could be the ranking of players under a geographical basis, where you must first specify the autonomous region, after the province and ultimately the town or city where the player is installed.
- Free tags: The free tags allow users to add words separated by commas to help them identify a particular element, so that it can be easily found later. Categorization based on tags does not require the prior creation of categories.
